I looked at Alex as he made his way down the stairs to the boat dock. He knew I was nervous. Id never been a boat in my entire 25 years on this planet.

Back home we didnt have a lake to boat around on. I could swim, but I never learned to like the water very much. Id been invited to go out on the lake several times, but had always said no.
